About MAG Resources
MAG Resources didn’t start in a boardroom — it started in a basement. But really, the story began long before that.
Founder Mike Giovanini spent more than 25 years in the window treatment industry, working as an installation manager specializing in the hospitality industry. When he could, he brought his two sons, Joe and Jason, along to job sites. They helped lay out hardware, cleaned up behind installers and learned the business from the ground up. When they weren’t in the field, you’d find them in the garage at home helping build drapery rods and upholstering cornices for jobs being installed across the country.
A Different Way
of Doing Business
In 2007, during the recession, Mike found himself looking for a new adventure. At the same time, Joe was in college studying entrepreneurship and decided the best way to learn was to start a business with his dad. Mike had also noticed a shift in the industry — from traditional draperies to roller shades — which opened the door to something bigger.
From day one, MAG Resources knew they had to be different. Instead of focusing only on the product, they focused on how customers felt working with a window treatment supplier. The philosophy was simple: understand what the customer truly needs, then work backward to build the right solution.
That mindset became the foundation of MAG Resources.

Today, MAG operates out of a 20,000-square-foot facility and supports commercial window treatment projects nationwide. But even as we’ve grown, the way we work hasn’t changed. One of our longest-standing customers, who has worked with Joe since the very beginning, recently said, “I thought you were still working out of the basement, just based on the level of service we receive.”
We’ve grown, but we’ve kept the small-company feel, and we plan to keep it that way.
